Alberto Maté

 –  UI/UX Product Designer

From

his childhood, he showed an interest in graphic expression (this caused quite a few headaches to his parents when he decided the walls of his home made a good canvas.) In addition, he soon discovered a new passion in Computer Learning, noting that his first digital experience was with Commodore and Sinclair computers.

As he continued drawing, he completed some IT courses, maintaining a connection between art and science. Among other courses he studied:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT Engineering - Cibernos Institute, Madrid-Spain (1993-1996)
  • Graphic Design and Engraving Monographs - Real Casa de la Moneda, Madrid-Spain (2005-2008)
  • UX Certificate Program - Bentley University, Waltham-Massachusetts (2020-2023)
  • HCI for UX course - MIT, Cambridge-Massachusetts (2023)
  • Google UX Certificate Program - Coursera (2023)

Upon completion of his Bachelor in Information Technology, he started a career as a programmer, working in client/server architectures.

In 2001 he decided to switch his professional career. Guided by his graphic intuition, he delved in the world of design at the design boutique Ubic. Due to the quality of his work and focus of these studies, he soon joined FCB (Former DraftFCB, and Draft WorldWide at that time).

Continuing his evolution, he turned into a UI/UX designer and has been successfully accomplishing goals and learning new things every day.

Some of the highly recognized brands he has worked for during the past 20+ years are:

  • Wells Fargo
  • Altisource (ASPS)
  • Bose
  • Land Rover
  • BMW
  • Tempur
  • 3M

Although they are not related to his current experience, he would like to share here some of his favorites projects.
